2008 Apple Hill
From Gold Hills Posse 4x4 Club
Now and then the Posse 4x4 Club members get together for a milder get-together. For this trip we decided to go to Apple Hill. In attendance were:
- Brad, Kathleen, Garrett & Mia
- John, Elena, Ben & Ryan
- Fred & Teddi
We got an early start and our first stop was High Hill Ranch were we enjoyed various apple pastries and the trout petting zoo (one could literally pick them up by hand if one wanted). We where there a little early so not too many of the vendors were open yet, but some of us did manage to get in some shopping time.
Our next stop was Boa Vista where we picked up some highly desired Arkansas Black apples sought after by Brad and John. Fred and Teddi picked up some frozen pies for the holidays. Our last apple stop was Abel's acres where the kids enjoyed the hay maze and the adults visited the other crafts booths.
Our adult oriented stop was Lava Cap winery where Teddi and Fred restocked some of their inventory.
On the way home we stopped at Buttercup Pantry in Placerville for an excellent late morning breakfast / early lunch.
