Perfect weather. That was a good trip without any problems. We only saw about 6 vehicles in the tougher stuff, but saw lots of people down lower. Many had kids and bonfires going. The trail wasn't too much further than Iron Mtn, and will eventually connect into Iron mtn if you can get across North/South rd.
We took the Sly Park exit from Hwy 50, went past the Mormon Immigrant Trail turn off and headed toward Grizzly Flat. There were a couple turns we took before getting to Grizzly Flat but I don't recall the names of the roads. Once we were in Grizzly Flat we took Capp's Crossing road which turned into a forest service road. If we had gone farther that road would have either turned into North South road or taken us too North South road.
