We met at the Shell Station/Subway/Ice Cream/Convenience store between 8:30 and 9am.

Attendees: Brad & Kathleen Fred Joe & Sue George & daughter Noel Kevin & Julie Steve Bob & son & grandson Richard and daughter Elizabeth Bill & Cammie and their son

Vehicles: 1 Toyota Pickup 2 YJ’s 5 TJ’s 1 LJ 1 JK

After loading up on gas, sandwiches, coffee, hot chocolate, sodas and firewood, we headed down Sly Park Road and got to the Ranger’s kiosk around 9:30am. We drove approximately 14 miles past the kiosk in order to find good snow and found a great location to park all of the vehicles safely off the road.

Bob quickly got to work setting up his mega fire pit.

Around 10:30am Kevin & Julie, Steve & Bob decided to head up Mormon Emigrant Trail to play for an hour in the snow and see how all the vehicles were doing that had gone up the road. While they were gone, some of the gang decided to build a snowman.

Then went sledding.

Around 2:30 we began wondering when Kevin, Steve and Bob were going to come back from their 1 hour trip that was now 3 hours overdue.

We decided we would go help them dig out whoever they were helping at 3pm. Luckily, just then they came over the hill with a good 15 cars behind them, like they had uncorked a huge bottleneck. As it turned out, they spent most of their time helping a full size truck who had no business being up in the snow. Unfortunately he was blocking the rest of the vehicles and had to be dealt with in order to free up everyone else.

Thanks Bob, Kevin & Steve!!!

We counted 44 vehicles which included the 10 we brought, and 4 snowmobiles. It was a beautiful day and everyone had a great time.
